Speech and Language Therapist

Stacey graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2011 with an MMedSci in Human Communication Studies, following her MA in Linguistic Studies (with merit) from the University of Glasgow in 2004.

Stacey recently returned to Scotland after working in various settings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As an impassioned and committed speech and language therapist, she is dedicated to improving the lives of children with communication and feeding difficulties through neurodiversity-affirming therapy. She has extensive experience in both high and low tech Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Early Intervention techniques, and Gestalt Language Processing (GLP), bringing a wealth of expertise to her practice.

Stacey excels in collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to create holistic therapy plans tailored to the functional needs of each individual. Her strength lies in establishing rapport and nurturing meaningful relationships with clients and their families, fostering an environment conducive to progress and growth. Her clinical experience is predominantly with autistic clients, and she specialises in AAC, GLP, and feeding therapy, with a deep passion for neurodiverse-affirming approaches.

What do you do to switch off from work? 
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, reading, and eating. 

What did you want to be growing up?
I wanted to be a marine biologist!
